Technorati tips
Technorati lists hundreds of thousands of blogs and has a search facility that is very popular. With it, surfers find blog entries that are of interest to them. It's therefore worthwhile to attempt to rank highly there and tap into some extra traffic!
Before I share the tips I guess I should explain the basics... Registration only takes a couple of minutes - think of a good description and some relevent keywords for this stage. Once that's complete, what you need to do is then tell them to crawl your site every time there's new content. They call this a "ping". Pings can be done by visiting http://www.technorati.com/ping/http://[your site]. Scripts can do this automatically - Ping-o-matic for example, which lets FeedBurner know that it needs to get your updated RSS feed. Read more »
